We're in the news!

Lesley Young of the Commercial Appeal stopped by to interview one of our students on her weight loss journey. Chloe has been taking bellydance and hula hooping classes at the World Dance Center for a few months now, and through nothing but dancing, she has been able to drop the pounds she gained during her pregnancy!

"I didn't really start doing belly dancing for exercise," says Chloe O'Hearn, who has always enjoyed dancing. "It's like a bonus." As part of that bonus, O'Hearn lost 35 pounds that she had gained while pregnant.

"I've always had fun dancing. I've never been scared to make a fool of myself," she said. "I feel like if you're not drenched in sweat by the time you're done, you're not having fun."

Chloe O'Hearn

Age: 34.

Hometown: Memphis.

Fitness routine: O'Hearn started belly dancing in January, and was able to shed the 34 pounds of baby weight she gained while pregnant.

Advice: "Just have fun. The more you're having fun, the more you'll do it, and the more you do it, the more weight you lose."
